With a 3-0 start to the season, the excitement is building for football at Todd County Central. Add in that this weekend is homecoming, and you have the makings for a big weekend. The Rebels will host Fulton City Friday, and by the end of the night could remain one of the unbeatens across the state. Fulton comes in winless on the season, and has scored just 25 points in four contests.
The Rebels were impressive last week defensively, holding Hopkins Central scoreless in a 6-0 win. In fact, the defense has been strong for the Rebels through the first three games, giving up only 12 points, and no team scoring more than six. The defense has also been creating turnovers, coming up with four interceptions and eight fumble recoveries.
If not for mother nature postponing a matchup against Caverna, Todd County Central might very well be going for 5-0 Friday night.
Homecoming activities get under Thursday, as is the tradition, with the parade which begins at the middle school, goes through town and then ends at the high school. Kickoff for the homecoming night game will be at 7:00 Friday. Be sure to look out for YourSportsEdge at the game.
