Princeton golfer Emma Talley has realized a dream she had as a young child and will play on the LPGA Tour in 2018. Talley finished tied for second place Monday at the Symetra Tour Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Talley won $14,756 for her finish, which moved her into ninth place on the Symetra Tour money list with $76,556. For her two-year pro career, Talley has earned $112,342 on the Symetra Tour.

She shot a three-day score of 12-under, which was one shot behind the winner Rachel Rohanna. Talley entered the weekend 10th on the money list and needed a strong finish to keep from being passed on the money list. The top 10 finishers on the Symetra Tour money list automatically earn their LPGA Tour Card.

Talley was a three-time state golf champion at Caldwell County High School and later won the NCAA Division I Women’s Championship at the University of Alabama. She also won the 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship and has made the cut at two LPGA Majors – the 2012 U.S. Open and the 2014 British Open.
