“If you don’t like Savion, then YOU are the problem.”
That was the simple message that Trigg County Baseball Coach Tim Bush told the crowd before Wildcat outfielder Savion Radford signed to continue his athletic and academic career at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia Thursday.
Radford becomes the sixth member of the Wildcat baseball senior class to sign with a college.
Armed with a genuine smile and a potent bat, Radford worked his way into the starting lineup last year where he hit .371 with eight extra base hits and 12 RBIs. This year, Radford is hitting .291 with 12 RBIs for the Wildcats.
Radford’s father Simon was a member of Trigg County’s last state championship track team in 1995 and his uncle John Ladd was a former Wildcat assistant baseball coach.
Savion will join Wildcat teammate Nick Ahart at Lindsey Wilson.
