Travis Perry Leads Four 2nd Region Players Named to Kentucky All-Star Team

It says something about the level of basketball that was played this year in the 2nd Region. Four players from the 2nd Region, including the 2024 Mr. Basketball are among those selected for the Kentucky All-Star basketball team that will face off against the team from Indiana in the annual series between the two states. This year’s games are set to be played June 7 and 8.

Mr. Basketball Travis Perry was an automatic selection to the team. He will be joined by his teammate Brady Shoulders. The two members from the state champion Lyon County team will be joined by fellow 2nd Region players Derrell Bateman of Christian County High School and Antonio Williams from Hopkinsville High School.

The head coach for the Kentucky boys’ team is Jeff Morrow, of Louisville Iroquois.

The game on June 7 will be played at Lexington Catholic. The game the following night will be at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
