The Hoptown Hoppers used a big 4th inning and a strong pitching performance to pick up a mid-week home field win Wednesday night. The Hoppers plated seven runs in the bottom of the 4th and rolled to a 10-0 seven inning win over the Fulton Railroaders.

The Hopper scored their 10 runs on just six hits as they took advantage of 8 walks and 3 hit batters from Railroader pitching.

Hoptown used two hit batters and a Fulton error to score two runs in the bottom of the third.

The Hoppers then put the game away the bottom of the fourth. Todd County Central grad Preston Rager had a two-run homer to left to get the big inning started. Ruben Ogando added an RBI double. A passed ball and two bases-loaded walks later the Hoptown lead was 9-0.

The Hoppers would score their final run of the game on a wild pitch in the bottom of the sixth.

Ogando ended up 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Rager was 1-2 with 3 RBIs and a run scored.

Dalton Sisson gave the Hoppers six big innings in picking up the win on the mound. Sisson gave up just three hits, stuck out seven, and walked only one.

Hoptown is back in action Thursday night on the road at Henderson.
