Lyon County senior Lilly Perry will get to play in next week’s State First Round tournament at Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.

Her 89 in the Region 1 Golf Tournament Tuesday at Drake Creek Golf Club in Ledbetter was good enough to get in under the wire as the last at-large berth.

The top two teams in the regional automatically qualify for the next round of postseason play, as do the next 10 individual scores.

Perry fired a 39 on the front nine but turned in a 50 on the back nine to finish at 89 and advance to Tuesday’s State First Round in Hopkinsville.

Other scores for Lyon saw Brenna Breitrick with a 93, Jenna Coursey 101 and Carmen Phillips 117.

Ballard Memorial’s Madison Glisson claimed the individual championship with a 3-over-par 75. That included a 34 on the front nine.

Glisson’s score was two shots better than runner-up Cecelia Ray of Marshall County.

The Lady Marshals claimed the team championship with a 317. McCracken County was runner-up at 352.
