University Heights Academy sophomore Cadence Gibson drove in the game-winning run for the Blazers Tuesday at Caldwell County.
With the game tied 4-4 in the top of the sixth inning with two outs, Gibson singled home a run and the Blazers went on to claim a 5-4 win.
Caldwell threw Gibson out trying to stretch the hit into a double, but the run stood up in UHA’s victory.
