Trinity Rowe is one of only four Kentucky high school players with over 1,000 assists in her career.

Miss Basketball Trinity Rowe of Pikeville had a spectacular high school basketball career.

The Southern Mississippi signee scored 2,463 points at Pikeville and had over 1,000 assists — something only four other girls had ever done in Kentucky.

She averaged 17.1 points, 7.1 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.75 steals per game last season when Pikeville won the 15th Region title and shot 49.9 percent overall from the field and 89.4 percent at the foul line.

Saturday she’ll lead Kentucky against Ohio in the annual Battle at the Border all-star game at Thomas More High School in Crestview Hills. The BSN Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Game will start at 5 p.m. and be followed by the boys’ game. The Slam-Jam Festival will be Friday night,

“I decided to play because Kentucky high school basketball has blessed me with so many memories and achievements, so I want to take any opportunity that I can to represent our state in a meaningful way and keep adding to those memories,” said Rowe.

That attitude is what makes her special on the court and so well-liked by teammates and opponents.

“After looking at the roster I was super excited to get to play with this group,” Rowe said. “I’ve shared the court with a lot of them already and absolutely loved it. They are insanely talented and I think this will be a fun group to compete with.”

Others on the Kentucky roster are UK signee Ramiya White of Butler, Samford signee Claire Johnson of McCracken County, Central Michigan signee Ayanna Darrington of Frederick Douglass, Eastern Kentucky signee Liz Freihofer of Cooper, Des Bradley of Hart County, Sarah Baker of Ryle, Hayden Barrier of Montgomery County, Jeannae Bolin of Pleasure Ridge Park, Quinn Eubank of Ryle, Liz Freihofer of Cooper, Anna Hamilton of Cooper, Destiny Jones of Louisville Central, Jasmine Jordan of Boyd County, Sydney Martin of Pulaski County and Abby Varney of Barren County.
