A pair of personal bests highlighted the performances for the Lyon County Lyons and Lady Lyons at the 2024 Chuck Gullo Twilight Relays over the weekend.
During the event, the Lady Lyons competed in the 1600, 4×100, 4×200, the distance medley relay, sprint medley relay, shot’ and discus. The Lyons took part in the 1600, the 4×200, the 4×800, the distance medley relay, and the sprint medley relay.
For the Lady Lyons, the top individual performance came from Kayla Dunn in the shot put. She took 12th place in a field of 37 with a throw of 26’-10”. That effort was a personal record, surpassing her previous best throw of 25’-8”. Dunn also finished 20th in the discus.
In the guys’ competition, Ian Gossard set a new personal record in the 1600 with a time of 6:16.70, eclipsing his previous best effort by more than 21 seconds.
