While he did not get the shutout, University Heights Academy’s Hayden Hunt tossed his second no-hitter of the season Tuesday night. With Hunt’s gem leading the way, the Blazers picked up a 5-1 road win at Union County.

Hunt went seven innings on the mound for the Blazers, striking out 11 and walking 3. Union County got their only run of the game in the bottom of the 7th inning off a walk, a fielder’s choice, and a ground out.

Hunt also threw a no-hitter in a win over Daviess County during the Blazers’ Spring Break trip to Florida.

The Blazers got the only run they would need in the top of the first. Hunt led off the game with a walk and then scored on a double off the bat of Jackson Flynn. UHA added a run in the top of the 5th when Flynn scored off a single from Courtland Gibson to make it 2-0.

The Blazers then slammed the door on the Braves with three runs in the top of the 6th to make it a 5-0 game. Jackson Flynn delivered the big blow in the inning with a two-run double.

Flynn had a big game for the Blazers, finishing the night at 2-4 with two doubles and 3 RBIs. Aiden Jones went 2-4 at the plate.

UHA improves to 15-8 with the win. The Blazers are set to be back in action Thursday night on the road at Crittenden County.
